Maduva Powdered Honey
//
Branding
Maduva is a full brand identity created for a real Indonesian honey producer during a university study tour, as part of a live industry brief. The company had developed a powdered acacia honey product but had no brand to sell it under — outsourcing the entire identity, packaging, and marketing system to our team. The project delivered a complete brand: logo, packaging (retail bag and single-serve sachets), e-commerce website, and social media collateral.

The client had a finished product: single-origin powdered Acacia honey, sourced from Black Locust flowers in Indonesia's Riau Islands. But no brand to carry it to market. Without a name, visual identity, or packaging, the product had no shelf presence, no story, and no way to compete in a premium wellness/lifestyle space against established honey and natural sweetener brands.
We built Maduva from the ground up. The name itself drawn from Indonesian (Madu = honey, Va = premium/life), reinforcing the product's origin story. The identity centres on a hexagonal honeycomb mark encasing a Black Locust flower with a bee nested inside, paired with a black-and-gold palette that signals premium positioning while nodding to the product's natural source. This system was carried across the full retail bag and individual sachets, a Shopify e-commerce site, and Instagram content, with lifestyle photography placing the product in hotels, café, and tropical settings to reflect both its premium use cases and its island origins.
